Student Exchange
The UKWCT is passionate about helping young people to find a career in conservation. Therefore as an extension to our own work experience programme we have set up a student exchange programme with working projects in Europe that have the conservation of the European wolf as part of their mandate.
The UKWCT has sent a number of students out to Bulgaria in 2009 (for more information, click here) and will hopefully be sending more in 2010. To qualify for this programme, students will preferably have completed work experience with us, submitted an application form and may be asked to attend an interview at the centre. Places are strictly limited and the application process long and difficult.
All costs will have to be covered by the students themselves but many of the projects will only ask for payment for food and lodging. The students have peace of mind knowing they are volunteering for an organisation known and approved of by a British organisation. This is an experience for those serious about a career in conservation.
