Photography Days

Held in Autumn and Winter, when the wolves look their most charismatic, Photography Days with the UK Wolf Conservation Trust offer a full day wolf photography workshop. They are open to photographers of all abilities and standards of equipment.

Learn how to get the best from your camera. We offer two sorts of photography days. The first are organised in association with Wild Arena, who provide expert tutors who are pleased to help you both individually and as a group to obtain photographs that will be a lasting testament to a memorable day. Look at In the Company of Wolves for details of these exciting days.

Special Offer

The good news for people who take out a Walking Membership with the UK Wolf Conservation Trust at the same time as they book a Photography Day is that they get £25 off the cost of Membership. Once a member you will be entitled to £25 off the cost of Photography Days. So if you are not already a supporter and want to take advantage of this exciting offer go to the membership page.

Also in association with Wild Arena, a trip to the Bulgarian Wolf Wilderness to visit a project with which the UK Wolf Conservation Trust has close links and supports financially.

We also run our own photography days, with gift vouchers available. Our exciting photography days start with a brief presentation setting the scene, informing you about wolves in general and the history of our wolf centre. There'll be a short safety briefing too.

After that, you'll be taken into the enclosure with our youngsters, Mosi, Mai and Torak for an hour-long photography session. It's an excellent opportunity to get amazing shots, the likes of which you'll be unable to get elsewhere.

The session will be followed by a break, before a short walk to the photography mound, where you'll be able to take pictures of Duma and Dakota, our North American sisters.

Participants must be 18 years or older, with full-length trousers and closed-toe shoes a must. For safety reasons we cannot allow earrings or perfume to be worn inside the enclosure. Tripods are also banned inside the enclosure as the wolves would love to chew on them!

These days make an ideal present for those interested in wildlife photography, or those who wish to take advantage of a unique opportunity to get close to wolves. For details of upcoming dates, check our events calendar. Space is limited, so book early!
